On a cold New England night six Berkshire students and I set out to a Monday Night Football game at Gillette stadium. It was the first Monday night game all of us had attended, and the first NFL game for some of us.
The New England Patriots were playing the Kansas City Chiefs, we were excited, the stadium was packed, and the crowd was electrifying. All of the Berkshire students made sure to bundle up, with layers and layers of clothing, it was so cold, we could see everyone’s breath every time the crowd cheered!
The score was 10-3, Patriots, at the half. It was a great game…until after half time.In the second half the Patriots widen their advantage by scoring twenty-four more points, with a final score of 34-3! We stayed for the entire game, and got to see the fireworks go off after each touchdown, and at the end of the game.
The students enjoyed the stadium food, bought a few souvenirs and took lots of pictures, we even got picture with the minute men who fire their muskets after each touchdown. The night was a total success, and we all hope to do another game next season.
