Currently CIP has a total enrollment of 130 students at our six programs. Our students represent 24 states plus the District of Columbia. We also have 4 international students from Antigua, Canada, Saudi Arabia, and Trinidad & Tobago.
This year the CIP Summer Program welcome 70 students ages 16-19 to six college/university locations for two-weeks of college experience!
65% of CIP students enrolled in college, earning a 3.0 average GPA!
Internships and Jobs
Employment experience is a core area of CIP’s program. This year 88% of CIP students held internships and jobs in places like:
Redbud Retirement Community: Providing musical entertainment
The Brevard Zoo as Petting Zoo Assistant
Energy Auditor working as part of a team that does energy efficiency checks in homes
Barber Shop Assistant
Gloria Parks Community Center as an After School Program Volunteer assisting students with homework and helping to run enrichment activities (i.e., science experiments and seasonal fun days)
Autistic Services as Business Office Intern doing general ledger, accounts payable, billing and other miscellaneous duties
Genesee Design, a Graphic Arts and Screen Printing Intern. Designs images to be used on T-Shirts, business cards and signs. Will be learning screen printing and embroidery.

New for Fall 2012: Berkshire Visual & Performing Arts Program
CIP Berkshire Program will offer a new track for this fall. The Visual and Performing Arts Program will utilize both CIP’s Good Purpose Gallery and Spectrum Playhouse, offering classes in such subjects as painting, photography, sculpture, dance, music and all areas of theater arts including set and costume design, lighting, sound, and acting. Students will have the opportunity to receive specialized training in creative arts fields, while pursuing related employment experience in the Berkshires. Learn more here.
